至於負者歌於途，行者休於樹，前者呼，後者應，傴僂提攜，往來而不絕者，滁人遊也。臨溪而漁， 溪深而魚肥，釀泉爲酒，泉香而酒冽，山肴野蔌，雜然而前陳者，太守宴也。宴酣之樂，非絲非竹，射者中， 弈者勝，觥籌交錯，起坐而喧嘩者，衆賓歡也。蒼顔白髮，頹然乎其間者，太守醉也。

至於那些揹著東西的人邊走邊唱，趕路的人在樹下休息，走在前面的人招呼著，走在後面的人答應著，彎腰曲背的老人、被拖著抱著的小孩，來來往往不絕於途的，是滁州的人到這裡來遊玩。到溪邊釣魚，水又深，魚又肥壯；用釀泉造酒，泉水甘香，酒清醇好喝；各種野味和山菜，錯雜地放在面前，就是太守主辦的筵席。宴會上大家開懷暢飲的樂趣，並不在於絃琴和簫笛，而是投壺的投中了，下棋的下贏了，酒杯和行酒令的籌，雜亂地在人的手中傳來傳去，有的站起來，有的在座位上喧嘩大叫，一眾賓客盡情歡樂。其中一個容貌衰老、頭髮花白、醉醺醺地傾側在朋友中間，卻是太守喝醉了。
Those people are dancing and singing. People on the road is resting under the tree. Some people are greeting to there friends. I can see old man bending over and child being held in the journey. They are from ChuZhou（滁州 ）.
I come to Pavilion of the Drunken Old Man（醉翁亭）. I am fishing next to the river. The river is deep and fish is plump and delicious. We are brewed wine with spring water. The spring water is both fragrant and sweet. The wine is tasty and smooth.
The feast is held by the mayor. Various meats and herbs are in front of our face. Everybody drink a lot in the feast. The most interesting thing are not the stringed instrument and flute’s music. The best thing is game in the feast. Pitch-pot（投壺，中國古代的遊戲）players and chess player’s win the game. The game is exciting. If someone lose the game, he need to drink wine. The wine cups are around the desk. The wine glasses and the game’s prop were passed around. Some people are standing. some people are shouted.Every body are happy. One of them looks old and drunk. His hair is white. He is lying between his friends. That is the mayor.
